After 10 years at the helm of Le Phare, the National Choreographic Center of Le Havre Normandy, Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh and Solenne Racapé created the Pavillon-s association in 2022, based in Rouen and Andé in the Eure department, with the desire to embark on a new project that would enable the development of more experimental artistic practices, drawing on the expertise acquired over the past decade.
This sense of adventure motivated the decision to return to independent company status, a status that nevertheless offers greater freedom of action in terms of both implementation and timing, as well as the ability and desire to connect, support, and exhibit other artists, whether in the field of choreography or other disciplines.
This new entity, Pavillon-s, is deliberately open to the singular/plural, as is the artistic project it implements, both for the multiplicity of possibilities evoked by this word, which resonates in architecture, in the maritime field, as well as in the anatomy of the ear or even the standard, among other meanings and significances.
Within Pavillon-s, Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh develops creative work, dissemination, and artistic actions in Normandy, nationally, and internationally.
Pavillon-s also carries out various projects inviting other artists:
"Pavillon-s témoins", Rouen Normandy Metropolitan Area
An artistic experimentation project in public spaces, the first edition of which took place in 2023 in two areas, urban and rural, of the Rouen Metropolis, then in three areas, urban, peri-urban, and rural, in 2024. The Pavillon-s témoins will continue in 2025, 2026, and 2027 in two areas each year.
"Pavillon-s Le fruit intégral", located in Andé in the Eure department
Le fruit intégral, opposite the Moulin d'Andé in the Eure department, is Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh's rehearsal studio, but also a place of residence for other choreographers and artists.
This 130 m² space, open to nature and connected to the performing and contemporary arts, provides a place for rehearsals, residencies, highlights, and artistic projects.
The annual multidisciplinary performance weekend WEI! Week-end intégral will be held every year from 2022 onwards, during Matrimoine and Patrimoine days, in collaboration with the Moulin d'Andé and the CECI-centre des écritures cinématographiques. It is completely free to the public and also takes place in the grounds of the Moulin d'Andé.
After three years devoted to developing the Pavillon-s project, Solenne Racapé wanted to embark on new adventures. Antoine Pétin joined Pavillon-s in April 2025 as production director, Camille Bono as head of production and distribution for Emmanuelle Vo-Dinh's creations, and Capucine Baranès as production manager for WEI! Week-End intégral.
