ARCANES paysage is a performance that is written and embodied in the light of the landscape in which it takes place.

The aim is to create a choreography that integrates with and responds to the nature of the landscape, choosing a viewpoint to be shared.

To achieve this, we have chosen to use frames of different sizes, similar to those that border a painting or photograph, inviting the viewer's gaze to focus on specific points in a space.

Whether portrait or landscape format, or even panoramic, we thus create mobile ‘windows’ of varying dimensions, directing the gaze towards the nature of the proposed gesture.

ARCANES paysage au Moulin d'Andé is a performance created specifically for three different landscapes on the banks of the Seine in the Moulin park.

Moving from one space to another, it takes the form of three successive choreographic proposals, offering different perspectives on the question of the setting and the nature of the movement that results from it.

The performance thus responds poetically to the architecture of the landscape, offering contemplative fictions inspired by the locations.

The ARCANES paysage performance, Mont Saint-Michel, which takes place on the Couesnon Dam, offers a panoramic view where the shifting horizontality of the space created by the tide gives the building different sensations of proportion.

We therefore do not look at Mont Saint-Michel without almost unconsciously apprehending the space that surrounds it, as well as the plant and animal life that make up this landscape. The whole evokes a particular emotion that is not conveyed by a ‘simple’ image of Mont Saint-Michel. The dance movement will play with the movement of the tide, the birds and the light, in a play of perspectives revealed by the unique viewpoint offered by the dam's panorama. Resonating with the chosen space, the dance that takes place there blends into or stands out from the landscape, also playing with the focal distance and thus offering a poetic fiction.

ARCANES paysage, Étretat is a choreographic journey around light, inspired by the landscape of the cliffs of Étretat, which Monet painted several times at different times of day.
The dancers interact with a transparent inflatable work by air architect Hans-Walter Müller, which in its own way echoes the movements of the tide and the famous arches of the cliffs.
With its asymmetrical shape, this transparent bubble allows the choreography to play with air, space and light, while the original sound creation, performed live by Olyphant, contributes to the sensory experience.
Presented at different times of the day, this performance reinterprets the idea of the circadian rhythm of light that the Impressionists captured... a variation in repetition.

La performance ARCANES paysage, Mont Saint-Michel qui prend place sur le Barrage du Couesnon offre une vision panoramique où l’horizontalité mouvante de l’espace créée par la marée donne à l’édifice différentes sensations de proportions.
Nous ne regardons donc pas le Mont-saint Michel sans appréhender presque inconsciemment l’espace qui l’entoure, mais aussi la vie végétale et animale qui compose ce paysage. L’ensemble convoque une émotion particulière que ne restitue pas la « simple » image du Mont-Saint-Michel. Ainsi le mouvement dansé viendra jouer autant avec le mouvement de la marée, que celui des oiseaux ou de la lumière, dans un jeu de perspectives révélé par le point de vue inédit qu’offre le panorama du barrage. En résonnant avec l’espace choisi, la danse qui s’y joue vient se fondre ou s’extraire du paysage, jouant aussi de la distance focale et proposant ainsi une fiction poétique.
