Fascin\u00e9 par la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019autres cultures, il s\u00e9journe \u00e9galement deux ans en Cor\u00e9e du Sud pour y mener un projet m\u00ealant p\u00e9dagogie et chor\u00e9graphie. Cette p\u00e9riode \u2013 ainsi que sa collaboration de plus de quinze ans avec Raimund Hoghe (<em>Bol\u00e9ro Variations, Si je meurs laissez le balcon ouvert, L\u2019Apr\u00e8s-midi<\/em>\u2026) \u2013 marque son travail en lui insufflant un go\u00fbt pour l\u2019essentiel, la sinc\u00e9rit\u00e9 et l\u2019humanit\u00e9 au plateau. \u00c0 la suite d\u2019une r\u00e9sidence de recherche de six ans \u00e0 L\u2019L (lieu de recherche exp\u00e9rimentale en arts de la sc\u00e8ne \u00e0 Bruxelles) o\u00f9 il y questionne sa pratique, Emmanuel Eggermont commence \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper ses projets chor\u00e9graphiques au sein de L\u2019Anthracite (Lille). Ses pi\u00e8ces rayonnent au niveau national et europ\u00e9en (Suisse, Portugal, Allemagne\u2026). Elles l\u2019am\u00e8neront notamment \u00e0 obtenir la bourse Beaumarchais-SACD et \u00e0 participer \u00e0 deux reprises au festival In d'Avignon. Avec un go\u00fbt tangible pour les arts plastiques et l'architecture, il s\u2019y d\u00e9ploie des images aux r\u00e9sonances expressionnistes qui c\u00f4toient une danse abstraite et des tonalit\u00e9s performatives. Ses trois derni\u00e8res cr\u00e9ations<em>, \u03a0\u03cc\u03bb\u03b9\u03c2 (P\u00f3lis)<\/em>, <em>Aberration<\/em> et <em>All Over Nymph\u00e9as<\/em> suivent cette ligne artistique et forment un cycle \u00ab\u00a0chromato-chor\u00e9graphique\u00a0\u00bb. Monochromies et \u00e9tudes picturales invitent le spectateur \u00e0 devenir conscient de ce qui repose invisiblement en lui, son histoire enfouie et celle qui s\u2019y superpose.
