Creation 2024
In ORUKAMI (oru: to fold, Kami: paper), three performers take hold of material objects originally designed to serve as survival ponchos.
They transform them and conjure up different images in turn: becoming fans, tents, rocks, pyramids, metal flowers... these makeshift garments come to life in the form of mischievous and noisy ectoplasms, characters with improbable morphologies, even surprising puppets.
Through the magic of DIY and childlike beliefs that we are more eager than ever to evoke, the diaerent lives of these precarious ponchos invite young and old alike to enjoy the poetry of marabout, string, horse saddle..
